Planning RV Power for Balloon Fiesta Camping
Echo One AdventuresHeading to Albuquerque for Balloon Fiesta? Before you pack, take a little time to work out how you’ll power the things you use every day.
Confirm what your campsite provides
Check your reservation for the electrical hookups available at your specific site. Confirm any generator hours or restrictions with the campground or event organizer. Plan around those details rather than assuming you’ll have the same options as a previous visit.
Think through a full day in your RV
Consider what needs power overnight, what you’ll use while getting ready for an early morning and what you’ll want running when you return. Include your refrigerator, furnace fan if used, lights, device charging and any other essential equipment.
Then add the comforts you’d like to use, such as a coffee maker, microwave or air conditioner. Let us know how long you expect to use them and which appliances you want to run together.
Know how you’ll recharge between uses
A battery bank is only one part of the plan. Consider how you’ll recharge during your stay and what alternatives you have if solar production is lower than expected. We can review your equipment and help you understand what it supports before recommending changes.
Leave time for an upgrade
If you’re considering new batteries, an inverter or additional solar, contact us ahead of your trip. We’ll discuss the equipment, installation location and scheduling before making a plan. Event-site access and permission to carry out work need to be confirmed; an event reservation does not reserve installation time with us.
Our primary mobile service areas are Rio Rancho, Albuquerque, Bernalillo and Placitas. For mobile work outside our service areas, please contact us at least eight weeks before your planned project start date so we can work through the logistics.
Send us your travel dates and project details, or learn more about our mobile RV power services.
